I'm liking these "superficial" posts . Your system is so organised and systematic . I like the idea of putting together a capsule collection with existing items from your wardrobe. I've never had the "i have nothing to wear " dilemma because I only wear what I like and over the years have really learned to dress for my (very) curvaceous figure.

I do have a big shoe and handbag addiction though and have spent thousands of $$$ in buying multiple pairs. I never understood why people would adopt minimalism when it came to dressing until (exactly a year ago) we had the worst storm in 75 years and my ENTIRE house (and it's contents) was under water! I now am very very vigilant about what I bring into the house and have a rule of for every new thing I purchase I give away something. I hate fast fashion because being on those websites/stores give me a very "yucky" feeling and the items just fall apart faster than I expect or I get bored of wearing them. So I buy good quality items that are versatile and fit me. I also get my pants tailored because NOBODY out there makes pants that fit me. As for colours again I wear whatever looks good on me so you will find me in black even if it's summer (LOL)

Hah, I love this. That storm sounds awful but also I guess the silver lining is that you had to think about your possessions. I had something much smaller happen after my second pregnancy - none of my shoes fit anymore. I had gone up a whole size! I had to get rid of every last one, and that hurt :( 12 years later I can safely say they're not going back.

I love your commitment to the capsule which I have never been able to make work for me. However, I’m going to share a little project I’m doing at the moment in Sunday’s newsletter that involves clothes 💚

ooh, excited to read about it! I think I like the capsule because it makes my closet less overwhelming and I can more easily choose a cute outfit with limited choices in a tight color palette that's also weather-appropriate. I'm wearing a new outfit combo today I already know is going to be a huge favorite this year.
